So far, how reliable has the Mac been? Does one need to constantly \"run\" to the helpdesk to ask for help? In case of breakdown, does vendor try to resolve the problem asap since the Mac is needed most of the time?

Also, is the Mac Air sluggish as comapred to the Pro? I'm asking coz still deciding between the Air and Retina Pro (but pro is aboyt 300g heavier).

      Thank you for any advice!

I am also interested to know how often in your x number of years there do you have to run to the in house help desk and for what reasons. TIA

Well..the 1:1 programme only started this year so well in my 1 year I've never needed to approach the Sapura technician at all but usually when I see my classmates going to them for help it's usually (if not all) regarding the internet connection. It can get a little difficult at times as there's quite a few configurations to make to connect the internet and well, sometimes it refuses to connect for no particular reason at all. Usually a restart does the magic, but I once had to renew my DHCP lease.
But I've had friends with issues with the internet for the entire year though. In the end they just brought their own mobile broadband.
Generally you'll only need help once or twice, if any at all.

Hello everyone! I’ll be joining RGS next year and I’d like to ask if there is only a specific colour of hair accessories or jackets allowed in RGS? Hope my question doesn’t sound ridiculous… Haha(: Thanks!

Oh and I have another question regarding CCAs!(: Is there a chance I will get into Girl Guides if I have no prior experience in that CCA? I’ve got a few Good Service Awards and I participated in CIP in Pri School actively if that helps…

          Thanks!

For hair accessories, you're only allowed to use black hair accessories (but I used to use dark green but no one booked me, but yes please use black).
For jackets, any normal jacket is fine 🙂

Personally I think that everyone has nearly equal chances to get into the CCA, but I've checked with my classmate who is in Girl Guides.
She's never been in any UG, never gotten any awards and stuff but she got into Guides anyways, but I think it helps a that you've been serving the community and stuff. They will put you through an interview but they don't really ask about any CIP or service awards you have.
So if you don't have any awards doesn't mean you have no chance too haha. I wish you luck! All the best 😄 I'm sure you can make it.

Just asking, is it possible to join the Chinese Orchestra with Grade 5 cello? I have 4 years of experience in CO (not school CCA) and performed many times though, but I have no award certificate. Do they just test you on sight-reading or SCALES(<torture)?

Your feedback is very very useful. Can I also check with you other than MS Office, and all those to start up the use of the laptop when it was first bought, is there any other application software that is required by the school that you had to get Sapura technician to install for you?

The cable you mentioned is the thunderbolt right? How much did you pay for it?

I understand about the unpredictable access problem with the internet. It is unfortunately, normal. I'll teach dd to turn on hotspot using her phone 3G to access the Internet when reboot fail, but I thought you are not allowed to use handphone in class so how do your friends that have Internet access problem the whole year tackle this problem?
