Hi, I am new to the forum, can anyone advise if it is far to walk from Bukit Batok MRT station to Bukit Batok Secondary School. I have tried google map and it seems to be far, thanks

I walked before. It is 20min walk. You can take bus 941 and alight outside princess Elizabeth primary.
Need to cut through car park and hdb. Unless walking in groupms, ,,I feel may be unsafe for girls if early morning walk. Jmho

Had the same struggle last year. in the end put bukit batok above Unity cos personally spoke to BB students and they speak proper English. Personal preference cos in O levels, English is v v impt.

I am amazed by the perception people have about schools.... :scared:

There are 2 school named here is the exact opposite of what you mentioned.... 😓

My advice to parents is to look at the discipline of the school instead of the CCA or T score or any other matters cos if the discipline is bad, you can be sure that your child would not be able to study during curriculum time.

A good disciplined school, even in a NT class, the students will learn and get to good grades. A ill-disciplined school, I personally have seen top students steal notes from other students so that they can fare better than their classmates.... This is a school with high T score of more than 250+ :nailbite:

In every school, be it the elite or the neighbourhood ones, there will be black sheep. When my son goes to Sec 1 next year, I will be observing his behaviour and movements more. Teenage years is a stage when kids mix with bad company fast.

Any one got anything to contribute in regards to Hua Yi Sec or Westwood Sec? Especially discipline wise.

A simple rule of thumb is just to ask the students if the school is strict… Those wearing the school uniform. Or just simply observe the attire of the students when the leave the school… Cos if they dare to sport such hair style, it means the principal do not really care much about discipline…

Or simply ask and observe the neighbourhood students
