Anyone know what is the reporting & dismissal time for RI?

      Hi,
DH & myself went down to RI for consultation last wk. We were told reporting time is 7.20am everyday. Curriculum time ends as follows:
      Mon & Wed 3.30pm
      Tue & Thurs 2.30pm
      Fri 12.45pm.

CCA timing may vary. n ususally muz stay back abt 2 to 3 times a wk for CCA.

Friday 12.45pm. Is it because CCAs held on Friday afternoon?

Thanks. Asked my boy and he replys he wants 100% white shoes, haha...

Ya, my DS also wore 100% white shoes (with white shoe laces) and white socks, when he was in Sec-1.. But DS says he wants to wear sports shoes (predominantly white, with a few colour stripes) when he goes to Sec-2 next year.. I ask DS if it is acceptable in school, DS says yes..

That's why I say \"preferable white socks & shoes (& white shoe laces) for the Year 1s (Sec-1s must be δΉ–δΉ– ma ).. But a little colour is certainly acceptable for the older boys (but I still do not know how to ensure that it is at least 70% white).. πŸ˜‰

Welcome to RI.. Does your DS like to Gong Toh Li too? Haha!! πŸ˜„

His knows entering sec school means transition, physically and emotionally, haha, he still enjoys being a kid, want only white white shoes, not so willing to upsize his shirt and slippers,... to him teenagers are like strange people, . . πŸ˜‚[/quote]Would suggest predominantly white sports shoes, I find these double up as running shoes when they hv PE lessons & give better support than canvas shoes.

Got few queries, hope can help:

            1. Can share whether for those have not went through Rafflesian Investiture (Y1 2013), will DS wear the plain Raffles uniform (without badge and tie) to the Edusave award presentation? or wear back the Primary school uniform?

            2. will AEP/MEP schedule clashed with 3rd Language schedule? If yes, which to drop (AEP/MEP or 3rd Language)?

              Hi syshi,

              1) I believe you wear your primary school uniform. When is the presentation?
              2) AEP/MEP will most likely crash with third Lang. My DS was interested in AEP, but due to timing conflict, he chose third Lang. As to which to drop, you'll have to check with your DS which he prefers.

              Hope that helps.

                1. The presentation will be on 6th January, whereas the investiture will be on 9th January.
So mean that still wear the Primary uniform, instead of the RI's full white (without badge & tie)..
                2. Thought for AEP just need to take up merit CCA of Visual Art or Photography? Will those both crashed on Tue 3rd lang schedule?

                    Hi Herbie,
Got the badge and tie (a bit kiasu) through the school bookshop, before knowing during reporting that the boys not supposed to wear the badge and tie before the investiture... wonder how 'tight' the requirement like... that's why asking fellow KSP whether what's the practice like in previous years...
