      Dino mummy:

I am not worried for my elder one, more the younger one. He probably cant finish his food on time...in fact, i worried wht he can buy his food or by the time he decided wat to eat, the bell ring...And he is a picky eater...he doesnt eat many kind of foods. Luckily, the boys are the first ones to alight from the sch bus..so should be home within half an hour if the sch bus doesnt leave the sch too late.

I suppose you can use the first three days to gauge whether your younger boy is able to finish the food in 20 mins. If he can't, you may have to prepare food for his recess instead.

I thot so...but my next worry is either he forgets to bring his makan box to the tuckshop or he forgets to bring them back.
He had forgotten to bring his chool bag home during his Kindy days

        Hi Dino

I share the same worry as you.

My son is very picky over food, I am worry he will buy snacks instead of proper food to eat. So currently scratching head what to prepare for them to bring to school But then I think I will need to wake up at 5am+ to prepare… think I will go crazy after a week. 😜

Next worry if they going to have lunch only at 2pm+? What time to serve them dinner? I can foresee that my kids will complain that they cannot have their dinner at 7pm as they have not totally digest their lunch. Then if at 8pm, will be too late as they (and me) need to prepare for their bedtime. Sigh…

          :hi5: My sentiments exactly.

If the recess time is as per given, it is \"neither here nor there\". :gloomy:

My girl's P1 form teacher made sure that her students had food to eat during recess by checking whether they had brought money or food to school. For those who brought neither, she would lend them money. Of course, parents need to take the initiative to pay her back.

The school use to dismiss either at 1pm or 1.30pm (P3 to P6) in which thier reporting time is 7.15am. So total exposure duration range from 5 Hours 45 minutes to 6 Hours 15 minutes.

Now reporting time is 7.40am but the dismissal time change to 1.30pm or 2pm.
5 hours 50 minutes to 6 hours 20 minutes. Monday would be worst with ECA factor in.

Why cannot like the old days where use to dismiss at 12pm? At least the kids can take afternoon nap.

Anyone picked up your child this afternoon? Total chaos with all the students being dismissed at the same time. The school experimented with a single session day on Friday whole of last year, yet I doubt they obtained any learning points going by the chaotic state of affairs earlier this afternoon.
