Pei Tong Primary

I’ve checked out Little Professor’s Student Care at Blk 433 Clementi Ave 3. Seems quite good as they do check with the children and ensure they finish their school homework plus other homework given by parents (if any). They do not nap at the centre but will eat their lunch there after school.
I decided to place my boy there. If any of you are still looking for a student care, then do drop by their place. I think they are almost full! -
sunnyh2000:
Dear parents, anyone has girl/boy going to Pei Tong P1 in 2013? Could you please share the \"things to bring on the 1st day\" list with me? I didn't attend the orientation in Nov. Thanks much!!
Hi sunnyh, I believe the essentials will be
- FTGP book as it is a Wednesday
- school diary (everyday)
- the 1st booklet of all the english booklets which we purchased from the bookshop.
- P1A Math textbook and workbook
- Stellar Handwriting
- 2 broadlines exercise book
- 1 big square exercise book for Chinese spelling
Of course, water bottle and snacks & food for tea-break and recess.
Have to wait for the timetable which will be issued on Monday. And please ensure the school tie is worn every Monday as there is assembly. I think that's all to it.
BTW, my boy's P1 teacher is following up with them to P2. So I'm quite happy about this. -

Tks for sharing, fuzzybee and Twenty77.
One more question, I saw the orientation day presentation PowerPoint from pei tong 's website, saying there’s a program for parents on the first 3 days of school. Do u know what’s it about? Does it require all parents to attend? Where’s the venue? Tks. -
Hi Twenty77, my email is [email protected]. tks much for sharing. I also couldn't get jotter books as they're sold out. Will try to buy again from school book store next week.

Insider news is the past few yrs psle results, majority of the P6 students gotten into normal (tech). Most of the pupils are weak in maths, due to weak foundation during P1 & 2, as i heard that most teachers in P1n 2 not experience n too laid back.
of coz there are also very bright students in the best clasd, but reason why psle results so bad is becoz those very bright students are transferred to GEP schs after P3. -

I wonder where u get the 'insider' information from regarding Pei Tong Primary School. The past 2 years PSLE results have improved and 2012 has the best result with top student scoring 266 entering RGS. There are 5 students who scored more than 260, a 500% improvement from 2011. P1 registrations have been full for the past 2 yrs. In 2012, balloting was required for Phase 2C Sup and there is a long waiting list for transfer into Pei Tong. There is also an increase in Parent Volunteers these 2 years who will be eligible for Phase 2B. The P1 FT will follow up to P2 which is important to both parents and students. They are professional and committed, definitely not laid back. There is a clear and systematic channel for any feedback, so parents comments will be heard and if reasonable, acted upon. This is my personal experience with the school.
GEP students will have to be transferred to GEP schools since Pei Tong does not offer GEP. The same goes to the other schools in the same area other than Nan Hua.
