My son still had weird ideas when he wrote Chinese compo...overly imaginative. Tutor told him to be realistic b4 he went off track.

This whole year, my wonderful tutors and myself have been keeping him rooted. I held a 'supervisory role'...making sure he is not drained...giving him extra TLC when he is down.

PSLE is a day earlier in 2013...starting from Sep 26. With CNY in Feb next year instead of Jan, do expect a little rush as time is tight. Plan a timetable. If taking holiday program for March and June, confirm ASAP.
ya i know already all confirmed before hand lol i very kiasu one.

Have to confirm so as to have peace of mind. I confirmed all holiday programs for March, June and Sep in Jan. Usually holiday programs are for existing in-house students, and seats are limited.
HI mummy OnABudget,

My son's handwriting used to be so atrocious. I told him NO EXAMINER is going to figure out what he wrote and it will just be a BIG CROSS marked.
I crushed the work he did...bcos I want him to know that his work will be treated like that.

SAME and he told me mummy u know how many trees u are killing i answered him but indirectly you are the one killing them not me.

He told me the same thing...I told him don't change the topic...'you are killing me too' !!!
I told him I crushed so many pieces of paper for his time-table.
Even if he can write a good compo but with that atrocious handwriting, it's as good as ZERO. The examiners have so many scripts to mark...they are not marking potential doctors' work but students. So, write neatly.
Handwriting aside, your boys are adorable. šŸ˜‰

Anyway, MANY boys write atrociously, so mummies, :please: don't work the blood pressure up. šŸ˜„

My son is a left-hander....since K2, his handwriting has killed me. But this year, his tutor screamed at him for the atrocious masterpieces. So I must really thank her bcos his handwriting is NOW legible. Sometimes, these kids need to be screamed at by others to wake up.

It's 2 days more before 2013...all the best to mummies with kids taking PSLE. In the meantime, enjoy yourselves first. :celebrate:

yea thank the lord for the wake up call has come last night he realized that he did not receive any bursary this year because he was asking why the letter has not come and when told we guess is cause he did not make it this year he went quiet.

He wrote a letter to me and dh promising that he will wake up his funny ideas and start to work harder as he does want to maintain his own perfect yearly bursary record, all i told hubby is now we shall sit back and see how he is going to work harder but of cause being me i cannot just sit back and do nothing i will monitor and push him when needed to be.
If you did not submit the bursary application last year then most probably you will not receive it this year.
