I noticed that there are a few round air-holes on the side of the lockers.


Does anyone cover up those holes with paper etc ? Anyone throw mothballs in to prevent insects fm making a home there ?

Must rmber to bring wet-ones to clean the lockers.

I think, following the recent upgrades to the canteen and toilets etc, the lockers are also changed as well. I've seen new ones outside classrooms.

My daughter will go RGS (sec 1) in the coming year. We are posting a message here if any parents are interested in sharing a cab to school every morning. Ideally, 3-4 girls would be good, and it is cheaper and faster than school bus. We are staying in Bukit Batok area, similar area preferable. Thanks, Choco05. That's good to know. I only managed to see the ones outside the language room (where we purchased the uniforms).

Yesterday was the registration of the 3rd language. Whilst waiting for my daughter's turn, there were about 10 persons ahead of us. The registrar had quite a loud voice and we could hear from which schools the students came from. All those ahead of us are from either RI or RGS with one boy from Dunman High. It suddenly dawned on me that my daughter would still have opportunities to mix with the opposite sex. I was looking forward to an all girls secondary education and keep those BFGF issues at bay till JC. :oops:

BGR issues cannot be avoided simply because you are in a single sex school. Many still have boyfriends/girlfriends anyway.

Choco05, are you enjoying your Japanese lessons ? I know I read earlier that you will be continuing with it, do you look forward to each lesson ? Does the 3 hours fly or excruciating after 1.5 hours ?

Bishan doesn't have Japanese class? But my new class is on Friday, and also at Bishan...

Actually, no. Most of the time, my class is half dead. The 3 hours seem to past super slowly, partly because we were all nearly dead from the lessons in the morning. But still, there are times when it was enjoyable. Especially when you come across random Japanese words, it feels good to say \"Hey i understand this\" etc.

Just one question regarding the tennis CCA of RGS.
I did not DSA into RGS and entered through PSLE. However, I am interested in joining the tennis CCA of RGS( I have been training since P3).May I know if I can join tennis CCA when school starts or only DSA-tennis players are allowed in the school team?
When is the training, usually? I heard that it might clash with 3rd language lessons.

Hi so sorry if this is a little late! I didn't see your post u until now...

Anyway, I'm a current rgs student (year 2 next year) and I have a friend in tennis cca. It's ok if u didnt DSA thru tennis - there will be cca trials for tennis and all the other ccas early next year. U can sign up for the tennis trials n if u do well at the trials, u can still get in

Everyone who joins sports ccas at rgs will be on the school team so if u get in thru trials, u will be given a spot in the school team (although it doesn't mean you'll actually get to play in tournaments since only 7 of the 12 member of the team get to play ...)

Training next yr will either be on mon / tues + thurs (I think, that was my friend's schedule for this yr anyway) plus Friday too during competition season. It's ok if u have third Lang on Friday tho cos you'll be excused from Friday training. My friend has third lang too so she just skips the training anyway.

However, my friend told me that tennis will most likely only accept 1 non-dsa player thru trials next year! That's cos they already accepted like 5 dsa tennis players or sth...
