My friend's son is in ACSi sec 2 next year, he was dsa, psle 254 no IB for him, if I not forgot what he told me, 257 at least to get to IB.

      Hope this can help.

HI did your friend's son go in via sports or cca? does it mean that if you were offered DSA via academics and you didn't meet the COP for IB, you will have to do 'O's?

Harini.. my son 255, we are in exactly the same headache!! Cos will only make the distance to acsi if he can do IB. Otherwise, it might be wiser to go to a good 'O' school.

      Hi kirakira,

Just read on another thread that the COP to IB may have been 256 last year. So there is still hope, but not very sure ... What have u decided ??

No I called the school it says 257, no negotiation, no appeals.

Still not decided but we are very comfortable with sji.

we are really in the same boat !!

          Hi,

read the comments on this thread - http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6032&start=255

Maybe the COP was 256 after the posting and when some kids left to other schools.

I like SJI too, but its very far from home, ACS(I) is very close. I m most probably going with my gut feel and putting ACS(I) down as first choice. I think when u appeal to a school, putting them as 1st choice is important. Good luck to u - hope u choose the right school for ur kid :celebrate: ...

Heard the feeder school kids who are posted to ACS(I) report to school on 22nd Dec.

Could some of the parents please update the COP for IB, if they know it on 22nd. It would surely help the non-feeder school students to decide if they need to prepare for appealing to other schools. Thanks …

The sch website states registration starts from 8am. Btw I called up the school, was told no need to bring result slip/report book/posting slip :? And also the bookshop is open in Dec to sell books and uniforms. No need to rush tmr. Plus the booklist can be downloaded and home delivery is available @ $10 per set/location.

                See u tmr.

We are giving our boy a chance to appeal at NJC though we like ACS(I) very much.

I was relieved to know we do not need to buy anything at ACS(I) tmr. At least can hope that the appeal result is out before sch starts on 5 Jan 2010.

ACS(I) website is very informative. The term calendar and CCA schedule are so detailed. Very impressive.

Oh!! Good luck with ur appeal.

NJC COP is 257, what was ur boy's score. Have u submitted the appeal form? I called up this morning and NJC said forms are ready and they are accepting the filled forms.
