Yes…sense of ownership. That I agree.

But to expect my 12 year old to grow up overnight? That will take perhaps 1-2 weeks to adjust to new school (Sec 1) curriculum. I am planning my daughter’s schedule now.

Same here! This morning, mine slept till 11am :faint: Sure got problem waking up all our kids on 2 Jan. πŸ˜“

        Only Jan 2nd ??!!
        From Jan 2nd 😒 :gloomy: 😒

My alarm regimeFirst alarm 5:20am- Enough to do do some stretches and sip coffee, and smell the roses. Snooze 15 mins.
Can ignore. Where got roses anyway? πŸ˜†

Second Alarm. 5:40am Wake up now and there will be no haste.
        Snooze 13 mins.

        Third alarm . 5:55am. Snooze 2 mins.
Get out of the bed Now NOW NOW

So I have alarm going off at 5:50, 5:53, 5:55, 5:57, 5:59,6:00. if I press the snooze button.
Enough to wake up the dead, πŸ˜‰

The only time this fails is when the phone has no charge. Time to get a Plan B alarm clock.

I do not use snooze anymore and my alarm is set without any buffer.

when the alarm rings, i know i have to get up or i will be late, somehow have no problem getting up and getting ready fast. plus i get to sleep to the max.

:imcool: Haha, I would have no problem. We have been waking up 6:30 am most of this whole holiday, except when we were overseas.

So disciplined?! You run your household like military camp izzit? :nunchuk:

              Question:

Must the kids bring ALL the text books? I dread that - it is so heavy on them! What can they NOT BRING on the first day? Any chers here to give your kind advice?
Usually teachers want to collect the workbooks n files to keep in class?

I will be running a tight ship with dual session. But I am excited!

Ds1 will sleep at 9:45pm and wake at 5:45am, hope to squeeze in 8hours of sleep.
                        My p1 will be 9:30pm to 8am, about 10hours.
