Thanks, QueSeraSeraForever! You guys are great!!! Everyone is so helpful and supportive. :snuggles:

Thanks to Haneyi, I have just got a copy of the booklist. Can anyone please advise if we should get the ebook version or printed version for the Maths and Science texts? I am thinking of getting whatever is available from Popular first and then the rest from the school bookshop.

Hi, I was just looking at the orientation grouping and realized that there are 7 groups of 40 girls each and there are 2 blank spaces in the 7th group. This info is for parents who are still waiting for calls. Don’t blame me if I’m reading too much into this list. Good luck!

Hi, I bought my books from the bookshop and they came in boxes, all packed already - includes all texts + e-books ( excluding Math because out of stock that day ) & compulsory stationaries.

I think the e-books will be compulsory, as they will most likely be used on the tablets.

Hi, the 7th group is for the people taking MEP if I'm not wrong. ^^

I too thought that we should get the ebooks version since everyone will be using the tablet. According to the booklist, it is stated that there is a choice of ebook or Bundle (which I believe is the ebook plus the printed textbook, correct me if I am wrong?) So in your packed box, were you given the Bundle or just the ebook version?

Does anyone know if it is necessary to buy the printed text version if we already have the ebook version in the tablet?

No, you're correct, it's e-book + printed textbook. The packed box contains the bundled version - though I don't feel the need for both.

Personally, I don't think it's necessary as we will be bring the tablet to school and back home ... but if it's not necessary then why include the textbook in the packed box? :scratchhead:

I wonder why there are still so many books to purchase even though we will be using the tablet. :scared:

Last year, we bought both the ebook and printed text book. I remember during the 1st meet up session with school there were parent brought out this issue and perhaps this year there are choices.

BTW, we did not require to buy any text book for Math last year.

Also depend on how fast the girl can get the slate PC. If I'm not wrong, DD got her slate PC around 20 Feb 12.

Hmm...it doesn't make much sense to get both versions. Would prefer to just get the ebook version - no need to lug additional textbooks to school. But if the Slate is only available later in Feb, then it is a bit of a problem. Perhaps we can print out the pages needed to tie through the period till the girls get their Slate. :scratchhead:

I think should not be an issue lah! I remember the school has sent them quite a lot of science notes at the begining of the year.
