About registration at sec sch after PSLE school posting

Regarding the Secondary one registration tomorrow, may I ask what are the stuffs needed to bring to the new school and what is the dressing code for the students? Do they have to wear their school uniforms there or just casual clothes will do?

1) Bring PSLE result slip & report book
2) Pen & notebook (for filling up forms & taking important details)
3) Money $$$ to buy uniforms, PE attire & books (if u intend to purchase
tmr) I remembered spending abt $400 +/- for my girl last yr.
4) Good recycled bags (if u don't drive - books usually pre-pack in box)
5) Student dress code : Primary school uniform

Pr 6 students are to report to their respective secondary school on 23rd Dec at 8.30am. I would like to know whether parents are allowed to go in the sch with them and whether it is the day where we buy their uniforms and books? Roughly how long does it takes, thank you.

Parents should go with them. Schools will have briefing for parents on that day too.


For some schools, you can purchase the books and uniform on that same day. For some schools, they will give you another schedule to purchase the necessary books/uniforms. In any case, be prepared to bring some cash if you are able to purchase the items on that day (I would say around $200 for books and $150 for uniforms/school tie/school jacket).

Yes, parents need to go on the registration day as there’re briefing by principal/teachers about the school,

buying of textboks and uniform and also filling in some official forms.
also better to bring along your results slip as some schools may require u to fill in some info (if u can remember all your grades then no need to bring).
