      Hi

What to bring for 1st day of school?

It's all in the letter from school on things to bring for first 3 days of school which are orientation days. There will be no formal lessons. Your kid going P1? If don't have, u should check with the GO.

Thank timtim,i thought i lost the letter.Managed to find it.

Just to confirm 5A is the best class? Or one of the best classes? My kid is posted to that class.

5A without HCL. 5B with HCL. 5B is the best class but A is also a gd class.
whatever, we should not stress such idea to the kids.

How many girls are posted to RGS and Nanyang? How many boys are posted to RI or HCI?

dun think the school will have such data unless the students apply via DSA.
believe they will not disclose such information.
from my pt of view, this is entirely on the kids individual ability irregardless of the statistics.

                Dear parents,

Can any existing parents whose children are in BICEP share what is the experience for your kids?

Does it take up alot of their time? Is there alot of homework, assignments & are there any tests?

Is it a must that the child must be very strong in the Chinese language?

Is also true that once they are in, they can't withdraw for the next 3 years?

                Thanks!

For my dd in p4 last year , she is exposed to Chinese culture . The topic are interesting . They are not dry type that only study from books . Eg moon cake festival , they taught the kids to make moon cakes.

only once a week , as for me I take it as a learning experience . I did not stress her on it .
Not much homework , only your views and sharing what u have learnt . 感想。tests only end of year but I heard a lot of children fail . Only few selected will go for SHHk schools for competition .
I think to be strong in both English and Chinese . Both must get 87% above.
                go for selection test
Not sure can withdraw or not .

My dd loves to attend .

                    Hi parents,

Any idea what is the attire for tomorrow - still school uniform? My kid has yet to receive his timetable and the notice given out last year didn’t state what attire it is for Thurs and Fri.

                    Thanks!

                      hi panickymum,

thanks very much for your reply.

it is a relief to hear that bicep is not all about academic and they will get to learn things beyond their school textbooks. good to hear that there is not much homework and tests are minimal. i do not need my kid to participate in the SHHK competition so ok if my kid does not do well 😄

PE attire should be fine till timetable is out. My son in P3 and he will be wearing PE attire tmr, it's more comfortable. Cheers!
