Wow, these are very good results... does the school reveal how many got 250 and above?

My friend said around 36. Can't remember actual figures.

        Hi everyone!

My boy is going P1 next yr in HIPS 🙂
I need help from any of you regarding the name tags on the uniform.
Any standard to iron the name tags on the uniforms and PE shirts? Can advise me, tks 😄

Hi I'd advise that you stitch the back of the name tags even after ironing them, as they dropped easily even after iron on. Just put a cloth on top of the name tag when u r ironing will do.

Tks Chelsiatee for the advise 🙂

Btw, where is the positioning of the name tag? above the school logo? and how high?

My boy will be going to P3 next year. Was wondering if any of you bought an electronic dictionary? The Besta one that is $39.90. Was wondering if it is useful? Anyone bought the expensive English-Chinese Besta dictionary? Worth the money?

Good morning P1 mummies. How was you child’s first week in school? Anyone want to exchange contacts so we can update/check with each other on school activities (eg. Test dates, spelling lists, feedback on teachers, etc) in the future? My girl is in 1S7 and has enjoyed school so far, but she can’t seem to remember instructions the teachers tell her. ( she did not tell us she was suppose to wear sports attire yesterday, lucky we heard the school announcement). Do PM me your email and phone number, child’s name and class if you are interested, and I will share the contact list with all once compiled. Thanks.

                HI,

Just to share on the P3 allocation next yr as Ive verified with my ds's form teacher(ds p2 this yr). 3G4 will be the only best class while 3G3 will be the \"weakest\" class. The rest of the classes will be allocated randomly.

                Hi Chelsiatee,

                Thanks for the verification.

By the way, I understand from my boy that he change class during math lesson. He and a few of his classmates will join another class for math whereas some of his classmates join another class and the rest remain in their classroom.

I wonder whether the school is trying to split them based on their standard.

                Einleda

Yes, I’ve heard from my boy too who told me those in his class with maths below 70 in P2 will stay in the same class whereas those above will join another class.

For certain day, he’ll need to bring along his maths text & workbooks with him during recess as he’ll join in the other class after recess.

My gal from P1 brought a form yesterday for non catholic students to attend Catechism class. Any parents know if we hv the option to opt out from this program? Is it a must for all students to attend, including non catholic? Any non catholic successfully opt out before?

                        Hi YellowBelt,

Hope this reply did not come too late. For non-catholic students, it's an opt-in rather than opt-out. If you do not wish to let your gal attend the lesson, you do not have to return the form. Once you've opted in, the consent lasts throughout the student's years in HIPS.
