Hi,Choco,
I got the class time table from the FT today. I notice there is no time range for each period. I was told every 2 periods is 55 mins. I think perhaps it's because some days start at diff time. Can I know where to find the time for the periods. Inet? I can't find the current time table there. TIA
you can find the timings on inet, admin info, time table, 2013 timetables, timings for 2013 students

Hello! I would like to know, with an aggregate of 272, it is too late to make an appeal to RGS now? :skeptical:

Hi all, anyone knows if the CCA trial dates are out? I tried inet but couldn’t see the relevant info. Please advise me if you know where the info is. Thanks!

Well, to be frank, I'm not really sure... I've been wondering if I should ask for a transfer to RGS ever since the release of PSLE results (I hold a DSA offer from NUSHS). Both schools seem to have their unique set of pros and cons.

You are one of the very few, accepted into this school. How are you liking it at at the moment ? What about the seniors ? Why are you having second thoughts about your school ?

My daughter is loving RGS and I think one of the contributing factor is because she finds the seniors enthusiastic and passionate about their activites and school.
Her classmates too, seem to be a bunch of really nice, regular girls and not super-duper competitive (well, at least not yet) as I had feared. She says that they have bonded well. Her teacher sounds like Mother Theresa, from her description.
With your PSLE score, I'm sure any school would be happy to put you on the waitlist if there is no vacancy currently. -

Like you've said, my classmates don't seem to be that competitive as well (though I doubt so  )! I feel that the seniors there are pretty friendly too (though there were still some socially awkward moments)!
Being a rather new school (NUSHS is in its 9th year in 2013), the CCAs offered and the Student Council are not as 'prestigious' as RGS's. For myself, I feel that I will be able to contribute more to the school and the society, if I were in RGS.
Of course, other then the CCAs and the SC, there were other factors that made me had second thoughts about the school. Academic-wise, I'm very passionate in two very conflicting fields: the sciences, as well as the liberal arts. I'm not implying that students from NUSHS cannot venture to other fields like law, but I feel that I may be able to 'benefit' more from RGS's all-rounded curriculum.
Certainly, you might be wondering, if so, why am I hesitating? Well, as the name suggests, the maths and science curriculum in NUSHS is very much accelerated, covering topics which are in RGS's Y1, Y2, and even some of the Y3's curriculum, and I really care about the courses of studies in the sciences. Sigh, I guess that explains why I've yet to don the blue pinafore (or maybe, I'm just plain indecisive)!
I really hope that I will not live to regret whatever decision I choose to embark on... After all, most of us end up regretting the things that we don't do, rather than the things that we do.
Anyway, congratulations to your daughter on joining the Raffles Family! :rahrah: And I wish her all the best in her future endeavors as a Rafflesian!
