Is the handbook flimsy because of the spiral spine? Actually I like the spiral spine very much cause it allows the handbook to open fully at any page (easier to read and write on) even though the book is rather thick. Maybe try buying a plastic cover for it? (BTW I think this year's front cover is bright and nice! :celebrate: )

I think it's great Jacsplace's P4's teacher helped with getting the handbooks. It'd be nice if the school would make special allowance for the P4 girls to buy the handbooks say during the first or last 15 mins of school on the first day of school every year. This way, they won't have to join long queues to get the handbook during these early days when the P1s need help the most.

The handbook is flimsy because there are too many pages. My DS’s handbook also has spiral binding but was in great condition all of last year because it’s thinner. He doesn’t have this year’s yet,.btw

I jus saw e new handbook n realised y it is only ready at beginning of sch term. Tink a lot of effort has gone into compiling e handbook covering sch history, national flag, sch rules n other impt info etc. E supplier probably can only commence production when e contents r completed.

Dd also told me she purchased e book thru e form teacher on third day. They may hv realised nt so easy for e p1 to buy e book themselves. So appreciate it! N tks for e clarifications by e other parents on e handbook!

My son been through 2 schools, both have spiral binding, so I think it is pretty common. But both his, lasted very well throughout the years. For a boy, trust me, it’s not easy, so credit certainly has to go to the quality of the handbook.

My gal certainly takes better care of her belongings than her brother, but, her handbooks for the last years couldn’t last well. By end of semester 1, haiz… no eyes to see.

              Hi ezmummy

Thanks for the clarification. I emailed and the school confirmed that they do not accept sec sch alumni which is unfortunate. And yes it was ballot for Phase 2C outside 2k. Guess I have to keep a watch this July and hopefully can get a successful registration here.

              Many thanks again! 🙂
