Hi. I have a 7 year old boy and we're wanting to start him in taekwondo or the like so that he can learn to be more aggressive.
, kicks
How would you differentiate Taekwondo, Karate, Wushu....all these?
Can anyone give a good recommendation for a class in the East Coast? I live near Fort Road/Mountbatten Rd.
Many thanks!!

Karate - empty hands tats what it mean so maninly more on hands n less on legs - but i hv seen the experts spar and their kicks are solid too
Wushu - beside hands & legs, weapons are taught

My son is into Karate tat was my advice & now he wants to learn mma - mix martial art...o boy..hehe

Did an enquiry in MMA. For 7 years old, you need to come minimum twice a week but in fact you are paying the rates of 4 visits. Timing is Tue & Thu 4pm & Sat & Sun 9.45am.
The timing does not suit me so therefore we save the trip heading down to MMA. -

Thanks, VT[/quote]No VT, he did not.
Yes it was evolve quiet popular that he was suppose to join..I think around $90+ monthly....but he's 18 so I'm not sure for young kids
My son keep changing his mind...now he's into body building...lol
I told him to take coaching first (swimming) as he will need this in future

Sorry just saw your messages… Nowadays, there is no email notification for new message response to our forum topic…
Hi titank, Thanks…You are referring to Evolve? Thanks for sharing… Hmm… dont think I can make it on weekdays too…but will give it a try for their trial session…
Hi swimironkids,
Thanks… wow… body buidling…
$90/ month is quite reasonable… but might be more ex for younger kids…
We were paying $115-$125/ month per pax for swimming lesson in Speediswim, Singapore sports school… $90 is quite alright…
Will go try out the trial session for MMA at Evolve may be after CNY…
We were inspired by this 8 years old girl from St Margaret’s Primary, who is the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) National Champion in the United States.
Hopefully, this can bully-proof my girls… & build up their confidence as well… -

Teacher Barry is good. I like the way he conducts the lessons and how he gets the mischievous kids behave themselves.Dear all,
