I tink that is quite the standard rate for a mini bus. The big 45-seater bus will be significantly cheaper… but that will also mean your child will go on a merry-go-round before reaching home.

What is the pick up and drop time?Need some feed back from parents whose child is taking the school bus. How do u find the fees?
I am charged $160 for taking 2 ways for a 11-15 seater. I am staying at the Rivervale area(within 1 km) from the school and the school bus heads for the student care near Hougang Mall after school. Personally I find the fees to be ridiculously high compared to the market rate of around $90-100. Can parents share your view? For a more meaningful comparison, pse state the followings:
a. boarding and alighting point
b. number of seaters
c. 1 or 2 way.
Appreciate any comment. Thanks. -
Is it just me or or did the school mention somewhere during the roadshow or orientation that P1 has no homework?
Can anyone recall?
My gerl was told she needs to bring a file to school to put her homework… hmmmmm. -

Hi, we are charge $100 for one way, from school to anchorvale. It is a 5-10 mins drive by car. The mini bus usually alights him 15-20mins after school dismissal.

Initially, we were charged $75 (45 seater) for one way, but he will take an hour to reach home. (compassvale bow - rivervale - fernvale - anchorvale) if im not wrong. Then the operator called and checked if we are willing to pay more, he will cater one more mini bus just for the pupils living in anchorvale, and also mentioned that he is doing it at a loss no matter how much he charges us.
Hope the above infor helps. -

Haha. I like your last reason. No ironing!I think.. at the end of the day.. you have a certain expectation when you choose a particular school. Some parents choose because of distance to home. Some parents choose Palm View because they like the challenge of being in a new school and new system. Some choose because they do not want their kids to be overwhelmed by the presence of other bigger kids. For me, I chose Palm View coz (1) I like the fact that it is new.. meaning parents have a chance to co-create the school with the staff, etc, (2) I share the same view with the Principal on how we see/perceive education and (3) I like their school uniform.
Yes the last reason may sound ridiculous.. but bottom line is.. choose a school that suits your expectations (be it academic, distance, non-academic emphasis, etc) and come up with back-up plans and support system to ensure your has the necc support to see him/her thru' primary school. -

icedlemontea - Honestly the uniform is one of the top reasons why I chose PVPS. I like the vibrant colour.. i like the sporty look!
Blissedsher - They have been asking for inputs from the roadshow days. I don think this is a temp uniform. Doesn't make sense to come up with temp uniforms. Why.. u don't you like the uniform?
