The life of a SAHM can be crazy.

We are in charge of everything...making sure kids have new school shoes, uniforms, clothes to wear...hygiene wise, we are not breeding mosquitoes. There is food in the fridge. We are both the good and bad guy at home...usually playing the bad guy role most of the time.
      No life or MC.
I remember there was once my kids were sick and i brought them to see the doctor. I caught the flu from them but was too sick to ask doctor medication for myself :slapshead:

Sometimes, I don't know if I prefer holidays or school...with holidays, we can sleep late and do not need to monitor time all day. But I do not know how to get housework done with them at home.

I don't allow my kids to wake up late because they will end up sleeping late too. I expect them to be in bed by 10pm (during school term is 9pm) so they need to set alarm to wake up at 8am otherwise they couldn't sleep by 10pm.

And I still monitor them all day. Otherwise haywire, run around the house and my downstairs neighbour will complain about their heavy footsteps. And I don't like them to idle too much, waste away the day. Either reading or playing board games is fine, not considered idle but definitely cannot run around from room to room screaming

Hi, i am new here 🙂 I have been a SAHM for 4 1 /2 years. I have 2 kids (DS born in 2008 and DD born in 2011) and we live around Kovan area. My DS will be attending K1 next year at Catholic Kindergarten. I was late for DD’s K1 registration at Catholic Kingerdarten but luckily still got vacancy and next year, his sister is in Phase 1 to enrol for pre-nursery class (2014). Also very lucky that his sister can be enrolled in Phase 1 coz i heard the waiting list is pretty long for nursery level classes.

i wasn’t a Kiasu parent (try not to be coz try not to stress myself ! Haha), frankly speaking. I only looked for a nursery class for my DS one month after he turned 3 year-old and was almost 2 weeks’ later in registrating him for K1 class. Also, my children do not attend any enrichment classes but DS will attend some enrichment classes in his kindergarten next year.

But now, after seeing some friends seem so stress regarding their children’s P1 registration…hmmmm…maybe it’s time for me to look for which pri school i would like my DS to attend or rather which pri school he has a high chance to get in !!! Talk about it now, some how can feel the stress coming in !! unbelievable !! haha…

Rosyth school and Yangzheng school are within 2 km from where i live. Rosyth is out coz i don’t think i will get a place there. Yangzheng seems fine coz pretty near our place. My alma mater is Nan Chiau Pri in Sengkang which is about 20 mins drive from our place and 3 MRT stations away. I am the alumni member , so i will be in Phase 2A1 while Yangzheng is getting more popular but we will be in phase 2C. However, most probably i will go for my alma mater even though its further away from our place coz i would like to try to minimize the stress on P1 registration. Sounds logical ??
