As parents, we do have a big role to play. Spending time with the kids is vital as we get to know them and learn what they are absorbing all around.
Just one week after school reopens, and I hear my kid talking about how his classmates compare who is more powerful.

No use. Kids follow what we do, not what we tell them to do. So, unless we conduct ourselves morally and do the right things and do things right all the time, our kiddoes will soon learn that what we teach them in moral education is poppycock.
If we cut corners and do what is expedient, so shall our kiddoes learn.
And that means not just parents, teachers and principals, but officials and leaders too.
