my kids have just been transferred to Griffiths Pri this year... the new Principal was a VP of Rosyth and Tampines Pri.. i hope she brings some changes to increase the popularity and academic standing of the sch ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi, may i know what you mean by your \"kids just been transfered to Griffiths Pri\"... Is is you ask for transfer or the sch transfer them. Before that what school does your kids attend to. And may i know, does Griffith Pri has student care in their school?

My elder boy was in TKPS and we moved to Tampines last year Nov. so i requested for MOE to assist to transfer them to another sch in Tampines area. Griffiths was the only sch which had vacancy and accepted them. Initially i was rather upset with myself for putting up the transfer request. But I hope it's a blessing in disguise with the new Principal onboard.

During the first day of sch when she gave a speech about what to expect from the sch, her slides shows students with different uniforms! I googled then found out that she was ex-VP of Rosyth and Tampines Pri. I guess she probably brought along some activities from her prev schools?

Yes, Griffiths has student care in their schhol.
Oh i see.... My daughter is in TPS. Yes the principal is very good. Quite sad when i found out she has transfer to Griffith primary. But hope is the best for her. Good that Griffith has student care in their school, i was looking for that kind of school.. but i guess it too late already. My daughter in P2 now... haiz...

MOE did not break down number of pupils registered, by distance range.
(ie. less than 1 km, between 1 to 2 km, beyond 2 km)
Nor breakdown by SC / PR registered.
you may however contact the school, inquire detailed breakdown (if keen)

Hi, can anybody advise me ?

My hubby wanted my DS to study in his alma mater but I find the school is too far >6km. I do not want my son to spend a long time travelling on the road (most prob school bus). We are staying <1km St Hildas and 1-2km Gong Shang Pri. I find both schools are good. However knowing from past yr results that balloting is required for SH and GS for distance <1km, I am in a dilemma on what to do. Does anybodyโ€™s child has to travel far for school and finds that it is manageable?
                    Thanks!

                        Hi,

Are u aware that St. Hilda's are now at their holding site in Upper Changi Rd and will be there till end 2014? If ur child is due to start P1 next year, this may be a concern too.

From my exp, ur child will take about 1 hr (one way) to travel to/fro school by school bus if home-school distance is ~ 6 km. Quite tiring for child ESP if in the morning session....
