Have you ever wondered...

That is indeed insensitive. :skeptical:Imami
I was shocked when I heard during one of the past episodes, the closing line was something like ,\"...join us next time for more exciting episode of crime watch. \" :faint:
Sounds like Crime Watch is more for entertainment than for promoting public awareness on crime. -
I wonder what it is like to grow up (I’ll leave for college say 3+ years later) and go back to your home knowing that it isn’t really your home anymore.
I wonder what it’s like when you’re 50 and know you’re half-way through life. Or what it feels like, dying.
I wonder why parents expect 12 year olds to be able to study hard for PSLE, because I couldn’t sit still at 12.
I wonder why life feels so much like a race that I’m never ready for, I’m Sec 3 and I feel like I just graduated from P6. It’s too fast, and nothing ever waits.
When I look at others, I wonder what they think.
I wonder how humans are such complex creatures. After all we’re all made from little electrons dancing around their nucleus, we’re all the webs spun from billions of carbon and hydrogen atoms, we’re the electric pulses that control our will. We are an organic … thing … that responds to external stimuli. I wonder if I control my thoughts, or if nature does. -
Your wonderings are so beautiful they make me smile with nostalgia..

I realise my post has turned into a rambling of sorts :siao:I wonder what it is like to grow up (I'll leave for college say 3+ years later) and go back to your home knowing that it isn't really your home anymore.
Not many would think of this before the actual experience, you are quite matured in your thoughts...
It is indeed a change , a bird soaring out of its nest . But you can always come back, its a slow change with its own dynamics. And one day when you have built your nest with your own family, you will settle into that a different phase of relationship with your parents comfortably.
I wonder what it's like when you're 50 and know you're half-way through life. Or what it feels like, dying.
This I cant tell you. But I tell you about what its like when its 40, having recently celebrated mine. First how it feels - at times I cant believe I am forty and at others I feel I have been around since a very long time.
For each his own, around forties I started to feel the limitations - eyesight failing, energy levels dipping, bones creaking, muscle pulls and sprains , greying hair, late nights have a far greater effect, a realisation that there are things I wanted to do , i thought I would do one day, my dreams are not feasible anymore....
But 40 has been moving on to a new phase. Its been about acceptance. About respecting my body. Focusing on health. Having more me-time as the kids are getting more independent. Its been realising that life is about learning to dance in the rain , not to wait for the storm to pass. Its not about one day I will do this, its about today I am doing this. Understanding I am a sum of my experiences - the good, the bad and the boring. So I am happier ,healthier and more content than I was five years ago.
I wonder why parents expect 12 year olds to be able to study hard for PSLE, because I couldn't sit still at 12.
Haha but you dont have to sit still to study. Actually most parents dont expect, we hope. Fevrently hope

This is what prompted me to reply to you. A little concerned.
Time flies. But dont be so fast that you fail to soak in your experiences.
Take some time to do nothing. The two months break that you get , spend the time wisely - doing what your body and soul needs. It doesnt have to be anything you can put down in your portfolio, even if that is what everyone else is doing. Stay away in from that trap.
If some things dont wait, let it go, you dont have to take them all...
If you push yourself too far, one day it may all have no value to you.
When I look at others, I wonder what they think.

I wonder about this too.
What - I feel because of some silly chemicals in my brain. I am happy bcos of the serotonin, I fall in love becos of oxytocin,...
I would rather remain deluded that I feel. Period. No explanations

why the government think the cooling measure will work this time?
-
If the objective is to prevent buyers from getting into serious financial problems later such as unable to service their loan in case the interest rates go up etc… then it shd be effective.
If the objective is to bring down the price… it may have no impact. Anyway, controlling price is never the primary consideration of the cooling measures isn’t it? -
…why supermarket sells ‘less sweet’ ribena concentrate. We can just make our drink more diluted using the regular concentrate, won’t it then taste less sweet?

Don't know why they think this can ever worked. The demand is there, so that's not changed. By doing such measures, only two things can happen: price continue to increase, or market will crash. :?If the objective is to prevent buyers from getting into serious financial problems later such as unable to service their loan in case the interest rates go up etc.. then it shd be effective.
