actually, the whole issue here is over expensive gifts, sex and ‘upgrading’ DK’s grade from D/E to a B+. as a law lecturer and former district judge, this Tey guy knows all the laws from A-Z.

He is a foreign talent, an ex / former district judge.
He may know every corner of the law so well, that he may be able to wriggle his way out. He doesn't want the defence lawyer to defend him now. -

SG is prolly d only developed 1st world country where d law does not allow legal counsel when wan is hauled up for police investigation.
