Important admission questions

I think you should work the other way round. Decide which JC you are interested to go, then check with those JCs and see if they’re accepting appeal now.
-
My best hope is cjc n AJ arts cos cop is nearest to my score.
-
Well then you can appeal after posting. Just that you will need to do it very quickly since the window period for appeal is usually very short.
-
Has anyone sent an email to the institutions that accept appeals now? If so, what is their reply?

I heard that some JCs have conducted appeal interviews already (last Friday and Saturday) and made offers. So you may be too late. Of course, it helps if you have connections and appeals will be a breeze. That said, being able to cope/keep up in the chosen JC once you are accepted is a more important issue to address. All the best!

I think the appeal interviews apply to DSA phase 2 students, and not all JCs offer DSA phase 2. @ the connections part, lol. where has meritocracy gone to?! -
Most of the JCs are conducting appeal exercise before Jan 31.
You you are 1 or 2 points away (or tie with) from last year’s COP as you should know you won’t/may not be accepted under normal JAE admission.
Some JC requires to be put in the first choice, especially better ones. They want to make sure you appeal because you like the school but not because you want to be better titled.
Most of the JC won’t accept appeals after 31 Jan. Here is the reason:
On 1 Feb, you have to report to the JC that JAE(MOE) posts you to. There are two possible cases:
If you go to report, the school will register you under their school, you are OFFICIALLY a student of that school from that day onwards. If another JC accepts you appeal after that, this JC has to make request to TRANFERR you out from the original school. This is a three-party agreement, if your original school does not want to let you go, you cannot be transferred out.
If you never go to report, the school will take as you have given up the chance. If no school accept your appeal after this date, you will have NO SCHOOL to go.
Therefore, most of the JCs will only accept appeals and give you confirmation/rejection before Jan 31. Once you are accepted, you can report to this school on 1 Feb instead of the posting school. -
Is this the way things are done this year? In previous years, appeal results for most schools can take up to one week after start of school to be disclosed, and there will be some movements of people into and out of the school, especially the first week.

Can't say the name of the JCs. One is located in the west and the other in the East. Well known JCs.Quintessential Mum:
