I would think alumni is not compulsory, though I have never sought official clarification from school.

Finally teacher issued the consent form for Chinese dance. And best of all, training time is adjusted to end at 3.30pm. P3/4 on Tues & P5/6 on Fri. Solved the transport issue for Tue parents with younger siblings ending at 3.30pm.

My daugther is in P4- Chinese dance too ( 1st choice).. She joined Alumni chinese dance just to keep her hair long... we have not received the consent form yet.. Will they start next week?


Hope that Chinese dance will end at 330pm so that she can go home together with her sister, P1....( Tuesday)...

VT, just curious, do the P4s go through the choosing exercise for CCA again? or maybe its because CCA was not compulsory for P3s last year, and so you need to choose this year? I really hope parents no need to go through the same thing every year.

My doter said she is expecting the consent form next Monday and then CCA starts Tuesday. Let's see what happens these two days.

Looks like there are a lot of mummies here where the siblings finish at 330pm on the same day. Let's hope the CCA finishes at 330pm.

Yayy!! 3.30pm..
Yes, we need to go to the website to choose CCA too. I am not sure if this is yearly event as we just transferred to CFS last Jun. So far, I am impressed with the school system..

Ya... I think it's not compulsory too.. My girls joined just to keep their long hair.... Since she already joined alumni, we will continue the Alumni although she is selected for chinese dance CCA for my #1..

hi, my son in P4 and till now didn’t receive the concent form from school, he said he will join floor ball. Is it normal? When CCA start? I thought should be this week?

Do you find that there is a lot of HW for your kids? Numerous pages of Onsponge plus challenging problem worksheet, then there’s HCL and journal as well, all on a long day after CCA and to be handed in tomorrow. And holistic assessment has begun, plus eng and chi spelling.

I really feel sorry for my gal. No time to r and r at all.

Yes I also realized a lot of hw but what to do, it gets more as they progresses, am surprised so far nothing for science

For those being allocated Chinese Dance as CCA. Does the child needs to seek approval from teacher to get the dance badge?
