I don't really know how the classes work. All I know is he really gotta buck up. The work now is so tough I really pity the kids. yes the moxie and Chinese idioms damn tough. Seriously do we really use tat kind of flurry words in practical life? I feel maskinppmaking it so tough kill a lot of the learning interest.

English vocabulary for P3 is tough too based on what I've seen so far..

my gal have hard time memorising the moxie. they also hv math HW everyday.

P1/2 to P3 - definitely a jump.


About the moxie, no need to insist a perfect score. As long as the child understands how to use some parts of the whole sentence, it is considered well done.

I would encourage following up EL grammer foundation with Longman’s Practice Grammer assessment book. It is important to make sure the P1/2 EL foundation are properly laid.

My boy had many misconceptions which I helped clear up in the last school holidays. I trusted him n the school teachers too much.

For moxie, mine needs to learn 3 sentences out of the 6 given. But think the class is given more time to learn cos first moxie is next Fri.

Tks Jennifer for sharing. P3 is indeed a jump. Eng vocabulary is definitely much trickier though only 2 wks have passed for the school term

Have to admit i couldnt read some of the words for my p3 boy's moxie.. My chinese has definitely improved after my boys join pei hwa i believe some of the stronger classes will b asked to memorise more than the rest.. Intend to focus on teaching ds to understand how to use those words rather than to concentrate on memorising.. Afterall psle can use dictionary


Luckily my boy can still cope with the english spelling.. So 1 less subject to worry about.
