          Hi,

I am not quite sure what is the minimum age for the kid to learn Wushu, but you can talk to the instructor that you intend to enrol to know. For my child who attend the Wushu at CC, there are children who is 5 years but their size is small built and end up look like below 5 years old. So it is wise for you to talk to the instructor to understand more.

just curious is wushu same as wing chun? if not, what is the style in wushu? to me wushu is a general name for all various martial arts style. Sorry,i am not \"wu ling zhong ren\" 🤷

watch too much of \"IP man\"...but is there classes for young kids for wing chun in sengkang/hougang area? how do you know if kid is keen to learn martial arts?

From observation of a kids’ wushu session, personally feel that tone of the training sessions is set by the instructor. As it involves some form of stretching and using of 棍,刀,the instructor should be strict in enforcing no-nonsense to ensure the younger kids learn the correct way n no injuries.

My DS has tried aikido before wushu n I think there were more fun elements in the previous one, probably because aikido is not so injury prone.
From observing the sessions, have seen some older kids who are serious n does all strokes properly. Others who just go through the motion n seems to have no heart in the lessons just look clumsy n I guessed they are there as sent on parents’ will.
