Many schools are using Casco new PSLE - Synthesis Transformation by Joan Quek. I have over looked & bought 2 similar books somewhere mid of this year. Intend to sell a copy of the book at $6. UP $7.70. Collection is at Sengkang MRT, Hougang MRT or Serangon MRT.

When we asked our DS to do these assessment books, there are some questions we could not explain why the answer is like that. Is there any guide book for Synthesis and Transformation that is detailed enough so we can study it?

When we asked our DS to do these assessment books, there are some questions we could not explain why the answer is like that. Is there any guide book for Synthesis and Transformation that is detailed enough so we can study it?

The series recommended below is useful as it has detailed notes on the rules of transformation. I used it for two years with students who were weak in S/T and they improved tremendously. However, it's not exhaustive. For them to get full marks in S/T, they must do their grammar drills as well, e.g. they need to be sure of how to change adjectives to nouns and vice versa. This type of exercises can be found in the general grammar assessment books.
