How is the workload for your P5? Dd is :imdrowning:, she has homework for all 3 subjects daily and of it, hmt is the most time consuming. Lots of writing and worksheets.

School has maths olympiad class conducted by external vendor but we decided to opt out. Maths is dd's weakest subject and she has neither the flair nor interest for it.
Just a quick check - do your P5 dc take public transport by themselves?
Yes. He started in P4 to & flow as school only 4 bus stop away. I'm glad that he is always punctual to return home. I think making friends with other parent of same school does help to ease our worry as they do help to lookout for misbehaves and feedbacks! The power of parentinghood 😉 😉

i just said whatever i aware.sorry to confused u all.i also confused by my son.i have to ask him again and make it clear.but in school website, reproduction in humans and plants would be tesed in term1

Champion:
smartmummy:

Wait, just now only I realised both are diffrent theme. I thought cell under system. Have to start my engine.

My son said he studied human reproduction then now plant system. But both are different theme.

smartmummy:
Heredity, Human reproduction, now plants reproduction. Aren't they under Cycle?
Yup Reproduction in humans and plants under cycle.

:scratchhead: So, smartmummy - your DS school started off with the theme \"CYCLE\" which covers REPRODUCTION -
1) Reproduction from parents to young
2) Reproduction in plants
3) Reproduction in humans

or you are telling us that your DS's school started off with 3) then teacher goes into the theme \"SYSTEMS\" which covers LIVING SYSTEMS -
1) The plant transport system
2) Air and the respiratory system
3) The human circulatory system
4) The unit of life

:imsorry: but am confused with your two posts above.
Work loads heavier. HMT has more writing, ting xie, endless. No time to do other assessment books. Still have enrichment homework.

My son started the supp class but workload doesn’t increase much.

Anyway he is poor in time management.

Confirm hmt more work. Three out of seven days a week devoted to chinese learning and homework. Am trying to get son to do one math exam paper every two weeks, split one week paper 1, one week paper two. Science mcq exam paper revision once a week, he is able to do a question a minute,so that only need 30min a week for science.try to squeeze in one grammar and vocab exercise once a week. Time consuming compo for both languages are out of the question. Surprisingly, mo xie is not tough. He manages 86marks on his first one without getting me involved as he has reasonable short term memory to pull off such last minute learning. School hmt exercises, his mistake is glaring, on the zhao ju and editing section. We had told him that doing well in main chinese paper is priority, hmt is only bonus and not to sweat it. Some of those words I also don’t know how to read or answer!

At least do HMT can improve on the lower MT, you see. Kill 2 birds with one stone.

Supp class begins this coming week. It involves the whole co-hort, the school calls it enrichment class. For P4-P6 is compulsory. Keeping every thursday for HMT.

Mother Tongue still covers unit 1?
