How about those that never turn up on polling day?

      What are you driving at?

Your vote is secret, there is no tracking of who you vote for, so what's the issue?

Because many new citizens have fear amongst them for wanting to vote oppositions. There is a saying going around that they have NO CHOICE BUT TO vote the incumbent, and I don't know where they got it from. And then there is also this saying that if one never turn up on polling days, they will lose their citizenship, even for citizens who were born here.[/quote]Don't think so lah, or else how did WP won Aljunied?
The ballot boxes are sealed and locked up in the Parliament or High Court for 6 months and if no hiccups or objection, would then be declared by the court to be destroyed.

Which is basically vicious nonsense circulated by anti-government/anti-foreigner voices. The information is easily available online if you choose to look for it.

Exactly the type of drivel that circulates during silly season (or the so-called bye-elections), I'd advise you to be discerning in what you hear or believe.

Before dat happens, every extra man/woman in parliament affords d alternative party (parties) more airtime to voice alternative views.
Ahhh..... Is everyone given their turn to raise issue by default? Like this time is your turn, next time is his turn, so essentially WP only has 7 out of 89 chances to bring forth issues? Or are there 'quotas' on the number of chance you are given as everyone needs to be given a chance to voice? Has anyone gotten by not to voicing anything in parliament and just \"kee-chiu\" when required?

Hv to file motion to raise an issue for debate in parliament. Not be default nor by turns. Free for all during question time. There is a time limit of 20 mins per MP.
