im not sure
but i only knw it after the GEP test. Some centres will publish the kids names...
Just out of curiosity, those kids whose names got published mostly from which primary schools?
Also I am curious can sue the center for exposing the pupils? For divulging their \"secret\"? For subjecting this group of prep-ed GEPpers (if not all the GEPpers) to scrutiny? :siam: -

Just curious to know which center and any link to that ? Obviously, no one said it is an offen to do prep course rite? A friend whoes gal got into gep aso admit sending her for prep course and Tll since p1. Usually they will not admit sending for prep course before the result is out. -
Prep course can only help that much, I believe the child himself must have already possess the quality. I knew some of my friendsโ children didnโt succeed in their GEP pursuit after completing the prep course. For those children that have the gifted quality the prep course may served to bring out their inner "giftedness", or train them to familiarize with the format.

What exactly is prep programme?
Are we talking about crash courses given to the kids over a short period of, say, 8 sessions?
If we are talking about those enrichment classes which are conducted like any other enrichment but aims to condition the child the GEP way, and not just to helping him get into GEP, then I believe thereโs nothing wrong with that. -

Yes there must be a difference between a GEP prep course over a short period and an enrichment prog. that a child has taken for some time. What exactly is prep programme?

It is likely the enrichment prog. will reinforce and also teach different skills which may or may not help with the GEP but a short GEP prep. course is merely a marketing gimmick which unfortunately some parents fall for. -

Hahaha this is so true. :rotflmao:
I only heard some parents I know complaining that they wasted $$$ after the envelopes are distributed.
Before that, this group of parents liked to make disparaging remarks about gep. Little did I know they were so keen to get in that they spent a small fortune (to me lah). People are funny sometimes.

Then they pass even more disparaging remarks AFTER their children don't get in and they've spent a small fortune.Kiasucy:

Many parents refuse to believe that it cannot be prep.
