Summary-- The strong big tree is mildly plagued by worms, though the tree is still standing soundly but now we have the woodpeckers.

PEH was very popular amongst the crowd too. Some uncles commented that he was getting better in his speeches.

That's perverted logic. So the MSM is to blame for the threats being made to KJ?
Fair comment.3Boys:
Likewise when opposition parties (other then WP) are driven from the fray by fears, whether real or perceived.
If wan preaches democracy n equal voice for all, wan wld not condone any such practice dat runs contrary to dat democratic belief.3Boys:
Who is undermining d democratic process? The sad thing is when KJ brings up this issue, instead of folk feeling concerned about the democratic process being undermined, he gets more brickbats and derision, up to accusations of having concocted the whole thing up.
d WP? WP supporters? Or other unseen hands?
When d MSM starts ramming up dis aspect instead of more substance in his campaign, does it perk ur interest dat there cld be more to it than KJ's n his family's safety at stake here?
Wld agree without hesitation dat KJ's family safety is top priority - thus dis is a matter for d police to handle.
It is d way d matter is being rammed up, unfold n still unfolding in full public view dat makes ppl skeptical n begin to suspect its real motive.
There is an extremely easy thing LTK et al can do to immediately dispel all 'insinuations'. Make a statement that The WP disavows all forms of political intimidation, that he calls all true blue participants of the democratic process to desist from intimidating all political parties.
I have yet to see WP even take a mini step towards alienating the fringe opposition supporters by taking a moral high ground, and I am not holding my breath to see it happen now. That is truly my main issue with the WP. -

Long story lar :siam: -

Got a point there. Also, in the sea of unidentifiable voices out there, one can no longer distinguish a genuine opinion from another that is out to give another party a bad name. It could be happening both ways, not one.

Last year polling day we gathered at a friend's house watching Yap Ah Mee, one friend asked another, so who did you vote? The other guy replied, non of anybody's business. People generally have qualm to disclose who they vote, can see that these group of new citizens probably won't tell the truth to their neighbors, even among themselves.
Not a new citizen family me knows - they replied without hesitation they both voted for MIWs, always.
me has no reason to doubt them.
Last GE, me took d trouble to pry dis info out of my parents - turns out it didn't make a difference to d polling results all these years. They always cancel each other out in d final count.
But last GE, my father switched party for d first time in his long life.

Yes I agree too. Compared to the time that he was running for HG by election. I told dh that he is alot more polished now. It's been a year and we do see that improvement in him. He is alot more engaging.
Concern2.... I can \"sense\" that you are being \"intoxicated\" now
BTW... today is such a sunny day.... the weather over the weekends was really bad... -

That is truly my main issue with the WP.[/quote]Anyone could have made that threat. I don't see there being a point to hype the issue up. What's more, IF it had been a WP supporter, why need to even do anything? They are not responsible for what supporters do, are they? Perhaps the most they could do, is to give a word or two, like what Pritam S. had done, to ask the supporters not to 'boo' .. Is that what you are refering to? -

I heard of \"converts\" too during last GE and strong ones after they attended rallies.... alittle like your father's situation.
My dh is still the mysterious one.... till now we still cannot figure out who he voted for.... He just confuses us/ me. :slapshead: -

Nevermind, I had a dose of PAP to counter the \"intoxication\"

Ya, so strange, suddenly the weather reverted to what it was before Friday.. :?
