For Nation, they have a big training centre here in Singapore. I must say their maids are quite well-trained 🙂

        Hi kiasimom

I have taken a maid from Nations Bukit Panjang Branch at least 8 years back. The maid stole my bank account book, and other items. She even left my house at night without permission. I only got to know about it when my neighbour came to my house to confront the maid. She apparently ran into his house, climb over the wall in his backyard and climbed back into my house. Surprised that she was very fast and agile. Brought her to Nations, where she was counselled. My bank book re-appeared.

One month later, she told me that she wanted to go home. When I called Nations, the Supervisor refused to take my call. The staff kept giving me excuses that the supervisor was not in (at that time, Nations was being investigated… cannot remember for what matter). As there was no outstanding maid loan, we decided to send her back. It was two weeks later before the supervisor called. Service recovery came too late. We never trust Nations from then on.

I suppose Nation has improved over this past 8 years.

My experience with them is satisfactory so far.

Maybe, service differs from different branches.

As you mentioned, that was 8 years ago, they should be better now 😉

Oh dear, 5 maids in 1 year! :!:
                    Must be super stressful.
Btw how many maids does MOM allow one to change in a year?
So far 4 of my maids are from Indonesia, and all have been good.
Have no experience with Myanmar maid.
But had a friend who employed one, and the barrier was communication.

I've a friend who \"imports\" them without going through an agent. Some speak pretty good Chinese; plus are trained as nurses. So far, besides the communication issue, they've been rather hardworking.

Then, it's just ONE example. 😉

//Mods, please merge with ALL ABOUT MAIDS...thanks

                        Hi carebear,

It is pretty normal to change 5 maids in a year. I, for one, has changed 5 maids this year.

Good maids are hard to come by.
We certainly don’t want to leave our fate to chance.
