      Fairy:
      Hi Jennifer,

I'm puzzled by what your hubby's friend said about RI deliberatly failing its sec1 boys. My son has completed his sec1 at RI with no such experience. In fact, as i've mentioned in another thread, the MATHEMATICAL ability of the students is so high that scoring a GPA of 4.0 (ie. >80marks) does not mean you're at the top 10% of the cohort in Maths, may not even be top 20 to 30%.
Hm, this friend's experience was some years ago. Maybe not so now.

I am an NUSHS student from one of the first few batches, and would like to clarify and give some information about the school. This is a bit late, but maybe it can help applicants next year, haha.

Indeed, an excellent informative and impartial write-up by Jfalk! However, I don't think it is suitable for portal posting since it is too specific info on only one school.

Hope graduates and existing students of other secondary schools can provide a similar, balanced and non-biased write-up (i.e. listing both the good points and bad points, as it is too common for parents and students to publicise only the favourable points) on their schools, in the respective threads. This will help potential parents and students of those schools in selecting the right school for their kids/themselves!

Thanks mjl! Indeed, Jfalk has given us an excellent review. But the subject does not warrant Portal publication due to the reason mjl pointed out. Great job, anyway, Jfalk.

Can someone advise whether the boys need to tuck their shirts into their shorts (Formal wear on Monday)? Understand the girls need not tuck in.

The boys wear long pants with shirt tuck in on mondays. they also need to put on a tie on mondays.

For other days, they wear polo tee with their shorts.
