Where to find great pineapple tarts?

The CNY fair at B2 Takashimaya Square has started. Today's the first day. Next 3 days cardholders get 10%. Most of the past-year regulars are there except for a few.


Baker's Well is quite popular as well. Chock full of pineapple which some find too overwhelming. Shop is at East Coast, this year at the Taka fair too.

Baker's Well pineapple tarts are nice...my kids chomped down 10 easily within minutes. They are not sweet and not too buttery.
Just now, my mum bought from this other shop from the East too...cheaper than Bakers Well...I could taste the pineapple fibre...also not sweet and pastry is not dry. Will put on weight before cny

When the Taka CNY food fare starts, look out for Home's Favourite. I personally think they are the best. The pineapple is not too sweet, the pastry is nice and flaky (which I really love). Not sure if they are doing it this year, last year their black gold pineapple was superb

Home Favourites made black gold pineapple tarts again this year. As always, supply is limited.

But Frankly nowadays pineapples tarts are getting more and more expensive…
from years back less than 50 cents per ball or tarts to fifty cents and to the cuurent prices
of close to $1per tart ! OmG… esp when good ones can easily whack 8-10 at one
go Hahaha $8-$10 gone liao Hahaha

But pineapple tarts are really ex…paying for the work as cooking the pineapple is time consuming. Bakers well cost about 80 cents each…it is not sweet, so I can easily chomp 5 at one go.

I think so...she mentioned the shop is in hawker centre or near market...so price is more reasonable than Bakers Well. There are 2 sizes for pineapple...small container costs $15 or something like that.
