Just asked my son and he told me that he would walk over to next class for his Math class (he's M3). He's not too bothered by the banding and I can see that he still likes the subject (which is great)!

Most impt is the teaching style matches the learning style.

BTW, I didn't buy any Science or Maths textbooks on the book list. Is it required? Will the teacher need the My Pals pupil books? seems like except for CL, the textbooks are only for reference at home?

Hi Maple leaf, I think my boy's class uses the Science textbook as I see that he has highlighted some parts of the text in his book. Did you check with your son?

(It is only today that I know there was even a textbook!) Did they make it compulsory this year?

And yes, there will be a short test at the end. But it's no big deal, because the results won't appear anywhere in the report book I didn't even bother to ask my DS whether he passed or not.
