but 2 extra days leave for kids below 12 is indeed very welcoming.

My company currently extends the 6 days leave for kids below 12. They are doing more than what the government offers. They also have dependent sick leave. I appreciate that gesture.

Frankly 2 days for kids below 12 is insufficient. Eg. meet the teachers session is different days for different kids. So with 3 kids, that is like 3 different days and it is only for 1 term. Kids will also fall sick and parents need to bring them to the doc. Not forgetting... exams... Maybe the government should consider PSLE leave  šŸ¦†

I am happy with the 2 days. Better than none. šŸ˜› oh, from my understand, they are giving 2 days per kid up to maximum 6 days right?

So mean I have 2 kids below 12, I have 4 days per year right? šŸ˜›

Actually i wonder how these 2 days child care leave works if there are 2 or 3 kids below 12. Son is turning 13...so I have just 1 kid who is below 12.

Maybe those 2 days can be used for bonding time...1 day retail therapy on Youth Day

We are so short of babies...LHL is having a BIG problem getting couples to produce more when his father successfully got couples to keep to 2.
The $6000 cash can help in the initial 1-2 years for diapers and milk powder. If getting jabs done at polyclinic, it will stretch further.

My understanding is that they do not go by no. of children. It is capped at 2 days per parent per year. So even if you have 10 children, this will not become 20 days.

          - Parents of children aged between seven and 12 years old will be entitled to two days of childcare leave per parent, per year. Currently, only parents with kids aged below seven years old have paid childcare leave of 6 days per parent per year.

This 2 days is for parents with kids less than 13yo, or less than 12yo ?
Between 7 and 12yo means up until the child turns 13yo right ?

Maybe this is the reason why women do not want to marry and give birth....

How will this apply to me? I have a 5 yo and an 8 yo? Do I get 8 days?

I was watching this Super Funny Taiwan Dating Show :

Our Government should get Mediacorp to make this kind of Dating show..

It could encourage more younger generations to get 'hitched'
