My son will be registering for P1 in a few years' time. I can register him in:

      1) Chongfu School - Phase 2A(1)
      2) SJI (Junior) - Phase 2A(2)
I prefer Chongfu as it an earlier phase, nearer to my home, more exposure to Chinese, and logistically convenient should I subsequently have a daughter.
SJI (Junior) seems more well-known and established and my Father-in-law and husband were from that school.
My son seems fine with any school.
What else do I need to consider to finally decide on a primary school for him?
      Thanks. 🙂

        Hi There,

Just to check, I’m currently stay at Woodlands. However. I will be shifting to Yishun in Q3 2013 (T.O.P). Question, can I enroll my son to one of the Yishun Primary School (ofcos within 1 km) as my IC still showing my Woodlands address?

          jason:

if i am not wrong, u can. my address (which does not reflect my yishun new address yet) is more than 1km away but my child still got in coz got vacancies, but mine is under phrase 2c, not transfer sch half way.

          sunny:
my child is in its scc. quality so so. but i enrol for its convenience. its within the same sch so the child doesnt need to travel out of the sch. they will go thro sch home work wif your child, but do note its not an enrichment centre,so its not a tuition centre. and it closes at 630pm, something not to my advantage as its very rush.

so far i quite like yishun pri sch. the sch does not stress kids in their work. more suitable for my kids.

Nor breakdown by SC / PR registered.
you may however contact the school, inquire detailed breakdown (if keen)

hi , my girl is registering in primary one this coming July, we prefer Northland , but we are under phase 2C… so think if unsuccessful so which school is recommended for second choice between Huamin, Peiying and Naval Base? All this 3 are within 1km.

                      Thanks

hi, i need some advice from u…

i am shifting and will move nearer to huamin, walking distance. but currently, elder kid is in yishun pri, so comtempleting whether to transfer him to huamin pri or not. if i dun transfer, he must wake up earlier and take sch bus. n i mus ensure huamin pri’s student care centre has vancacy for my 2 kids.

my 2nd child is under this year’s p1 reg - phrase 2a so at this point, i have already submitted my form to this yishun pri…duno if i can still withdraw and try for huamin under phrase 2c.

this is very last min thinking and i never tot of transfering sch till now so cannot think right…
