When did u stop CMA for your kids? Now my kid has been in the intermediate class, 3 or 4 more books then will be advanced. Of course I dun intend to let her continue for advance la.

          Hi hersheys,

Just curious - why don’t you let your DD continue to advance if she is benefitting from the lessons?

            hi parents,

i’m interested in getting my child to learn abacus/mental arithmetic but am concerned with the amount of homework involved. how much time do you need to spend daily with your child to complete the homework? i was told by CMA that there are 2 books (5 pages each, so total 10 pages) for each lesson. how manageable is that for a 5 year old?

thanks for any advice. i wish to know what i’m getting myself into before committing.

I stopped my ds1 when he was in P2, ds2 when he was in P1 and planning to start my ds3 this yr (K2). Yes, a lot of HW to do and the boys cannot finish their CMA HW most of the time.

Can I also ask why do parents choose CMA over others, such as CC (which is cheaper) and 3G abacus (which per their website is easier to learn as compared to soroban)? Thank you. Sorry for asking so many questions!
