A part of the profits of these 'privatised' public transport/utitilities/landlord companies go to the Govt via Temasek etc if these remain GLCs. These dividends then become part of the Govt revenue, which is then spent on whatever govt needs to spend money on. It is not as though all these profits go into some black hole.

We are not driving that the profits go into some black hole. But rather, if this is not privatise maybe our household utilities bill will not be on a continuous upward increasing trend. There is probably no turning back ?

Somehow, when I listen to WP speak, it's not just good oratory, but you can FEEL that these people really care about the nation. Their whole SOUL is in what they are saying and pushing for.

Some of the opposition speakers are really :yikes: You wonder why they are up there speaking in the first place :?
