Isetan Scotts is having a back to school sales, with 20% on schoolbags until Jan 6th. If you’re a member you can get 30% off on Friday 28th. I saw lots of brands there, the usual SPI, Impact, and some new brands like Totem and Buddy. Totem looks quite attractive and my kids love the design. Buddy looks quite sophisticated but seems heavy and ugly. Try to go there early… it can be a madness with hordes of housewives hunting for bargains.

I forgot to mention that the schoolbags are on level 4, within the toys section.

                Hi sweetbaby

You can check out Kids2Youth outlets (Parkway/Suntec) - they sell various brands e.g. Dr Kong, Buddy, Totem, Ergobag from $80+ up to $300+.
Or Impact bags (Marina Sq/Woodlands…)… thk their std price is abt $100+ and they come in sizes.

Just wondering if ergobag has ever been sold at a discounted price? My sis checked for that its currently$199. Its so expensive especially my boy is so rough and careless. Anyone knows if there trade in value like SPI bag?

I almost bought DerDieDas but DH said it's too big for the little boy as he's quite small frame. In the end, we bought the cheaper range, Deuter scholar. However, DS is complaining that the bag is very heavy. I realise most of the ergonomic bags when empty, are at least about 1kg. I saw some kids carrying the lighter version of Deuter but i can't find those lighter ones in the stores.

Have been following on the bags forum. Getting one for eldest boy who is entering P1 nx yr. Still way too soon but good to research early and buy when there is a sale. Tried the German ones but as my boy is a Nov kid and smaller in frame, am afraid these are too big. Saw a small deuter bag, but is deuter an ergonomics bag?

Some of the Deuter models are ergonomic. I bought one for my dd1 but turns out most of the books are kept in school. So for ds, I might just buy a ordinary sturdy one instead of ergonomic.

I'm not sure if this is the arrangement for all P1s, so best to chk.
