Club 2002 Kids

Just this week, they were asked to create their own Wind Cars (if I remember the name correctly). They had to wreck their brains to decide which material is best for the car body and wheels. DD told me they also had to decide on the most ideal size/measurement for the wheels, in order for the car to move the fastest. I was so impressed! Told her to take a picture of the completed car next week.

Thanks for the link and your feedback. Sounds like alot of fun. I know they organises competition for the trainees. Are all schools expected to participate?
I'm not too sure if all schools are expected to participate in the various competitions but if your DS's school participates, I would encourage the child to join coz it's really good exposure, and most importantly, really fun. -

Wow, sounds like a lot of research work to be done on automobile construction!! and to be handed in by next week :yikes:
Can post the pic of the completed car, when available? -
DD has decided to give E2K a try. Now gotta wait for Math HOD to approve her withdrawal. Just feel a bit sayang becos she did MO for 1 year liao. Moreover, MO is more relevant to PSLE

Sure, no problem. Will post the picture if DD remembers to take a picture of it. DD can be very forgetful sometimes.

Wow, that's good! :rahrah:
By the way, just curious, is E2K offered at Pri 5 in your DD's school? I thought it is usually offered at Pri 4? -
Only gifted school then have this programme E2K is it?
There was a competition few days ago organised by Sony Creative in Singapore Science Centre. My ds βshoot arrowβ by his classmates to go to represent the class. They are suppose to design toys made of recycle materials (something like that). Are the E2K students also do similar projects? -

DD enjoys E2K as the experiments conducted are always so fun. This year, they will be attending a few sessions of Little Professor on top of their weekly E2K sessions. Little Professor is conducted out of the school and DD can't wait for the first session.

Finally found someone who is going to the Little Professor too ! Wonder what is it about ? Is the competition at the end of the 3rd session or are they assessed throughout the 3 sessions ? DS2's school has 2 teams going.
DS2 school has external MO trainer for them and he is also in E2K as part of his program. So this year is really packed.
2 days of extra childcare not enough.

DS2 participated in Sony Creative when he was in P3 via his former school too. Those with outstanding projects will be invited to join SSC seminar later in the year.

Both E2K & MO are excellent for DSA.
