What is learning support program (lsp).

Hi parents
What is lsp? If a kid needs to attend lsp, does it means he is poor in the subject? Any hope for him to be in mainstream? Or stuck in lsp? -

Lsp is like extra tuition for the weak student conducted by his school. Kids need to stay back or come in earlier for such lessons. It is not a kind of streaming. The kids will still be in mainstream, taking same exam papers as the whole level.Hi parents

Hi,
If he needs lsp, it really means that:
1) he is below the minimal level and needs additional support
2) among his peers, he is one of the slowest in terms of learning
3) he does not have parental support in his studies
4) parents should make an effort to coach their kids to make sure that they can keep up with their peers. -
Purpose of lsp is to help p1 pupils strengthen their English, Maths so that they can join back their mainstream classmates ASAP.
