Hi,

Anyone can update for the certificate of academic achievement awarded by the constituency, what are the criteria to be awarded the above cert? I only know is base on top 25% of individual school,

. do they base on type of housing?
. what is the income ceiling to be eligible?
. are independent school entitle as well?

      Thanks

Is it true that only those awards that come with financial award (eg. Scholarship, good progress award) will be presented at a ceremony? Those who receive the certification for academic achievement award (top 25%) just simply receive the cert. through the mail? Quite a non-event for this group of kids. Whether it comes with a financial award or not, a certificate n a letter that arrives through the mail is quite meaningless 🤷

You will not receive any certificate for being top 25%. Only the top 10% of P5 & P6 will receive a certificate & a cheque on presentation ceremony. They do recognise academic excellence, but is for top 10% & not 25%. However, your child might qualified for Good Progress if he/she improves greatly comparing to last year performance.
Referring to the earlier post by nani, I can confirm that there is an \"Edusave Certificate of Academic Achievement\" for top 25%. Just a certificate, without financial award (which is not the point here). The certificate, signed by the Grassroots Organisation, is mailed to the recipient. My friend who showed me his kid's certificate, was quite pleased. But his kid (the receipent) was not impressed la 😆 Hence my comment of it being a \"non-event\".

        Hi

Just wondering, is P5/6 Scholarship reduced to only $350 this year regardless of whether you're in top 5% or not?

        Thanks
Yes. If I din remember wrongly, top 5% was $400. Now it's standard $350 for top 10%. But the EAGLES has been increased from $150 to $250.

Can a P6 child receive Edusave Character Award and EAGLES Award at the same time?

Dear Sunny, normally,if you qualify for the edusave bursary, you will receive an application form for the award along with a letter that informs you that you are qualified for the award. You need to fill up the given application form and hand it to your nearest community center. If you are selected, you will be informed. 🙂

Has anyone received the letter from MOE for the Edusave Scholarship Award granted to the top performing 10% of the school cohort per level for both primary and secondary students? There is no income bracket for such award.

To date, those qualifying for top 25% of cohort have already received their letters for the Edusave Merit Bursary Award. This award is for students who come from modest families with a gross monthly income of <$5000. Last date for submission is 2 Dec.

Looks like have to wait a while longer for notification of the Edusave Scholarship Award and EAGLES award.
