Club 2011 Kiddos

Thanks lukemommy!
Many of my frens & relatives have quit their jobs after they have their 2nd child.
It’s really difficult to manage with 2 and more kids la and working full time.
Hope my 2nd baby comes along soon so that the age gap is not too wide from my 1st child…at the same time, I am worried that I cannot handle. -

Hi applemum2011, do you intend to quit yr job after having 2nd child? Looking after 2 kids also no joke…sometimes i find that it’s even more stressful than working ! haha! most of the times they drive me crazy, refuse to listen to me, kor kor fighting with mei mei…of course when they are not naughty, they are cute …haha…
ya, its better not to have 2 kids with age gap too far apart coz its not easy for them to play together and also might not be close to one another…Don’t worry, 2 kids still can handle (from my experience , i take care of my 2 kids all by myself (no maid) , my mom only helpls me when necessary)
joanne_mas,
i also purposely let my DS study morning session so as to prepare him for P1 …teachers complain he cannot sit still, distract other students…everyday i have to tell him dozen times ‘must sit down and listen to teachers, can only stand up when teachers say can stand up…’ very tired…haha. -

My two girls are 9 years apart. Adores each other like crazy, hugs and kisses all the time. No problem playing with each other and watches TV together (though I am not sure if it is beneficial for a 11 year old to watch Hi 5). Definitely fight less than my 2 nieces who are 3 years apart.

Not necessary true that it is better to have kids with wide age gap.

Hi Trina,
you are lucky to have 2 kids with such wide age gap to adore each other, maybe they are girls, more loving…my 2 nephews, 6 years apart, fight all the time !! lol , maybe boys don’t in to each other that easily…in fact, the younger one always bully the kor kor…because of this, my sis dared not to try for 3rd one ( she would love to have a daughter but very afraid to have another boy), if turned out another boy, she is going to faint !! haha
Hi joanne_mas,
no, my DD doesn’t attend any playgroup , will just let her attend pre-nursery class at her bro’s kindy next year. My DD’s learning ability is faster than her kor kor and she loves singing
she loves to watch Hi5 , pocoyo and mickey mouse clubhouse. I just teach her alphabets, numbers, some songs now and then… -

My child used to be in afternoon session and she was coping fine. I transferred her to morning session, hoping to prepare her for Pri 1 just like u all. It was a big mistake. I had a cordial relationship with the ex-teacher and will get feedback from her from time to time. It finally dawned on me that transferring to morning session for a preschooler is not a good idea. After transferring her back to afternoon session, there was marked improvement in my child. Weigh carefully if your child should study in the morning or afternoon session if studying in the morning session is too tiring for your little ones if they are used to a late bedtime. Moreover, the child has to sleep about 10 hours to be able to follow lesson, listen to instructions, do work in class. Transferring my child to pm session is the best change I have done for my child. I can use the time at night for teaching my child. In the morning when I’m out to work, my child will still be sleeping till very late. I also insist that the afternoon nap must continue.
