As a mommy myself & in a parent's point of view I would say '该骂 - deserve a scolding'.
But it's your own life eventually so if you are happy with your score & have no regrets, no choice. (but I will have regrets tho for not nagging enough :rotflmao: )

She got nag... But she said this year (O levels) she was prepared for a re-run of what happened during PSLE (quoting her) that's why when I got my results she didn't explode as badly because she got experience one time already from psle. Lol.

Obviously your mum feel that you can do it. That's why she feels that you can do better.

I am confused on how to estimate the t-score that my son will get. I know the formula but we don’t know the average and standard deviation until the PSLE for all students is marked. Somebody told me to multiply the sum of the scores of the 4 subjects with 0.75 and then minus or deduct some points to adjust for the quality of the school.

My question is: how to determine this adjusting score? My son is in neighbourhood school. The school is not bad but not good too.

When I got 254 for my psle I was shouted at and grounded for a month =.= actually I was quite okay with my score then after that became very sad...

:yikes: is it becos your parents expected you to do better? Eg if you scored 260 at prelim.... You know?

Personally, I find it unjustifiable to ground the kid after psle, regardless of the score. It's done deal mah.... Ground for what? If it's primary 5/4, perhaps got use.

If you hv done your best, there is nothing to be sad. But I do know, how sometimes other people's perception will affect us.
