wonderm:
To me these are the necessary qualities of a leader in government:

with vision and foresight for the country,
with charistma to connect with the people (to win votes?)
with excellent management skills to manage a ministry or a constituency
Most importantly, like everyone is saying, with a heart to serve the nation and its people.

Now should we add to the above list?
He and his family must live in HDB, take public transport, and he draws a salary no different from most of us (median salary of the country?). Oh not forgetting, his children and grandchildren must attend neighborhood schools.

If someone can find such a person, I don't really care he joins which political party, I will definitely vote for him. Hopefully, we find enough of them to form the government.
Good one! :rotflmao:
“I asked myself if my life and my standard of living have improved in the last few years, and the answer is no,” said Perry Koh, an insurance agent who’s a Punggol East resident. “Looking at the results, it looks like I’m not the only one who feels that way.”

Dear Perry Koh

May I presume that you are referring to inflation? Have you ever wondered why we see significant inflation, not only in Singapore but almost everywhere except Japan?
Too chim lah, just say: a flat economy surely no inflation :imcool:

When inflation was high then interest rate was also high. Now inflation high interest rate is still low only our S$ high so more money come here and make inflation higher. Can't imagine if one day interest rate here goes very high. :scared:

MAS uses a strong exchange to curb inflation and not interest rate. Asking them to change this is unlikely. Hammer can probly only make noise on Coe or housing which is huge part of inflation. So it is probly easier for you to ask for higher increment from your boss. :scared:

Then you beg your boss lah. 🙏 Send him/her messages say luvly things. Say you are local talent got kids in IP school pay high school fees plus tuition fees, got parents all living together with you so need to pay for a big property, you need to drive a car to be on time for work because mrt quite crowded and breakdown often. If you need to operate in Singapore can't siam all this staff costs one right? So how much is my increment? 🤷
