No CCA for next Friday, they will have the CNY celebration in the morning and school will dismiss at 1.30pm.

Hi I am new to this thread cos my DS just started school here n he is in P1 Integrity. Anyone here with boys in that class?

DS has been enjoying school n waking up early is not a big issue for him n praying that it will stay like this.
            Hi ezrababy!
My son is also in P1 Integrity! πŸ™‚
Were you at the recent Meet Parents session? I was seated second row on the right near the corridor.
Perhaps we can catch up at the next meetup!

              Hi,

I am new, my boy will be starting P1 next year and am pretty worried about after school care. I just read from moe website that St Andrew’s junior is one of the pri sch that have after school care. Anyone using the after school care?

                Hi sunnyjenny
My son goes to the St Andrew's Boarding House (Day Centre) after school. They have responsible and caring teachers there. My son's main teacher is quite strict but she manages to get the boys to follow the schedule. They have a good programme and my boy is enjoying the time there playing board games, comp games etc during the daily one hour play time. The teachers will also give them spelling (in advance to help prepare them) and check that they complete their daily homework - they won't correct or mark them though as parents are expected to also play a part in guiding their sons in their studies. πŸ™‚ I'm thankful for the Boarding House as it is located within SAV, is convenient and safe (no need to travel to another after-school care centre). Hope this helps.

                  Hi YellowBelt,

Thanks for the info, this is such a big relief. May I know whether the Boarding house requires any balloting due to overwhelming requests?

I don't think there is any balloting. More like first-come-first-served. So you should indicate your interest or register as soon as you can (after confirming a place in SAJS). There might still be some or few vacancies during the P1 registration day - they have a booth along with other uniform and shoes suppliers. It is rather popular and for P1 this year, there are no more vacancies and I know of a few parents who were thinking of enrolling but did not register early enough.

                        hi,

can parents who have done pv before share their experience and what qualities does school look before accepting pv applicants?

also i stay >2km away and i am not a anglican so will it affect my chance of getting a pv at this school?

                        thank you very much πŸ™‚
