        Hi ChiefKiasu

I noticed that you’ve sent your P3 son to Molin. Is it good? Which is better Molin or Tien Hsia? Any particular reason for choosing Molin instead of Tien Hsia??? Many thanks.

Both are roughly the same. Molin has a good mix of both academic and extra-curricular Chinese enrichment such as newspaper reading and analysis and creative writing. It is not too \"commercial\", spends little to no money on advertising itself, which I translate to better utilization of its resources on the actual task of education. I must say that the teachers are quite dedicated and up to the task of encouraging my son to persevere in the subject he dislikes most.

I've only passed by the Han Language centre... never went in to take a look. Yuquan, on the other hand, ever since my son went there for the June holiday intensive course, followed by the weekly sessions, he has definitely improved in his use of Chinese idioms. The more amazing thing is that he is literally begging me to let him continue. So it must be a really fun class to attend.

His Yuquan class is at Middle Road. Not sure about \"the RC\". What's that?

                Hi Chief Kiasu,

Sorry I did not make myself clear. I saw that beside the middle road centre, they are also having many teaching outlets all over singapore and it seem that this outlets are usually located at the RC or CC. Not sure whether the standard is the same? The fees for Pr 1 is about $65 per month, is this same as the one your son is attending?

Yuquan offers Chinese tuition classes at RC. This is based on primary school syllabus. According to the principal, they only offer the idiom and the word recognition classes at their head office. That is what I think ChiefKS’s son is attending. These are not tuition class per say, but rather beyond textbook enrichment classes.

                    Hi All,

Anyone sends your child to the above centre for Chinese class? Walked pass yestersay and saw the banner. It is located at Jurong West, near the Blk 505 Food Centre.

                    Thank you.

                      Hi all,

Hokkien Huay Kuan has a arts & cultural centre where they conduct a lot of chinese courses, including a new type called 乐乐华语班 that’s supposed to be fairly similar to Berries.

                      Has anyone tried that out?

Hi Pen88n, you are absolutely right. Thanks for clarifying!
