      3Boys:
      ngl2010:

Who do we approach if we think there is a junction that is dangerous so need to put traffic lights? Town Council or LTA?

Should be LTA I think? I have ever call before about road signage.

Good question! I also want to know. So how, 3Boys, LTA is the one to call? They took action?

The pace of life should be slowed down a bit instead of rush and rush, quick and quick… don’t need to be so kiasu and strive to be the 1st in the world in terms of economy.

Riding a motorcycle on the road is already dangerous enough. Unlike other countries such as USA, motorcycle is considered a vehicle, thus, occupying a space just like other vehicle instead of going through cars. Thus, don’t talk about bicycle. Cyclists basically have no place on the road. If they shared the road with the other road users, do you think the cars will give way? They also can’t cycle on the pavement as the pedestrains also do not give way as the pavement is not meant for the cyclists. So, a cyclist path should be designed instead of building so many nice buildings to show off the economy success of Singapore.

:hugs: firefly38.. hope you get well soon. Ya, i understand how affected we can be after this incident. Since Monday, each time the girls call to say they are on the way back... can't help but worry a bit more. 😞

Thanks Buds.. Yes, I am feeling better, but only physically..

Some people may think that the boys' funeral today will put a closure to the incident for the family.. But I do not think so.. During the wake, the parents were too busy and tired to think much.. And there were always people around to console and talk to them.. But after the funeral, when the parents go home to an empty house, that is when all the suppressed grief and sorrows will pour uncontrollably.. 😢

May God bless the parents with strength to go through this very difficult period.. 🙏

Agree! The grief comes later. Everything, every smell, all the memories will hit when all is quiet.

Since the funeral is this afternoon, let us close this matter and stop discussing it for the sake of the boys’ parents. Agree? Let’s stop digging at the wound and let the healing take its natural course. I think this is best for them cos further discussion will keep reminding them of their beloved boys. I hope other websites will do the same.

The boys are in heaven and safe in Jesus’ arms. The elder son brought his mother to Christ and her blessed hope is that they will meet again in heaven. This is our Christian’s fundamental belief and God will grant them the strength to overcome their loss.

The boys have not died in vain if their death brings about greater awareness on road safety for everybody and have awoken each and everyone of us to the true value and meaning of life. Let’s love our children more: kiss them; hug them: enjoy them etc instead of constantly focusing on that PSLE etc while we can cos we don’t know what tomorrow holds. Let’s relax and enjoy every single moment with them.

Better to alert the Traffic Police while waiting for LTA to respond.

You can write to LTA, Town Council, RC, Police Post or MP.....every month they have a meeting chaired by the MP to go through all this issues.....the key is to make sure someone rise yuor issue at the meeting. surest way is to copy your MP into the mail.

Watching this clip sent a chill down my spine.

This was possibly what happened that fateful afternoon, the boys thought cement truck driver saw them & proceeded to cross the junction, and driver did not see the boys as he was seated high up and proceeded to make his turn.
