Impressive. Now we know how the ancients build the pyramids with those multi-ton granite blocks. Go easy on the bottles, though. They may make you feel lighter than you really are...ChiefKiasu:

Once my siblings and myself stayed in a service apt in Guangzhou when we were there for a holiday. There were 3 bedrooms and a hall plus 2 bathrooms. We wanted 2 bedroom apt but as they have run out of it, they offered a 3 bedroom with same price but locked up the 3rd bedroom.
My 2 sis shared a bedroom while I shared the other with my bro.
After showering my bro went to bed first. We 3 girls chatted for a while before going to bed. I took the bed near the bedroom door and toilet. Once I got onto the bed, I smell a strong pungent odour, like the smell of faeces. I got up and checked the toilet but the toilet was clean and the smell did not came from there. It was just beside my bed. The smell disappear as I was checking so thinking it’ s just some sewerage problem of the building, I went back to bed. But as soon as I lay in the bed, the smell came back. I got up to check, again, it disappear. As soon as I went back to bed, the strong smell came back. By then I realize something not right. But not wanting to alarm my siblings, I tried hard to sleep. But the smell was so choking and disturbing. I tried to ignore it but then, I felt the bed trembling. Once I openly eyes,it stopped. But once I close my eyes, it started. It got really bad and my bro was still soundly sleeping. He had a flu so the medicine was making him really sleepy and I was very worried something may happen to him so I went to wake my sis.
My sis knew I am not that sort who will kick up a fuss over small matters so if I highlight to them, it must be bad. They went with me to my bedroom but there was no smell. But this time, once we put our leg outside the room, the air was filled with the horrible smell. My sis insists on switching bedroom with me as she feels that her Qi is stronger than mine. So amidst my strong objection she switched room with me.
Next day she said she felt the bed trembled too and the smell continued. But being a sleepy person, she fell asleep anyway. My bro said he was so sleepy he felt nothing.
Anyway we asked for change of apt and the concierge changed without asking any questions. The apt given was one floor below but there was no horrible smell at all and we were able to sleep well for the next 2 days. -
@carilyn, could it be that you’ve an acute sense of smell that’s far superior to your family members? Could the sewerage system or a generator in the vicinity of that bedroom that caused the bed to tremble?
To eliminate or determine paranormal activity, it is best to get hold of a hotel staff and get him/her to explain your experiences there and then. And whatever the outcome, demand for change of apartment immediately rather than rest in discomfort and/or fear till the next day. -

did you ask the hotel staff why was the 3rd bedroom locked up ?
usually i won't take an apartment, if one of the rooms locked up.
fishy ! -
No leh. My sis did not smell it when she came into the room. But the moment we stepped out, the smell came and she smelled it too. The smell lingers in the room till she fell asleep.
The smell came from a particular spot next to the bed. The smell was gone the next day when the staff came up to inspect upon our request.
The 3rd room was locked coz according to the staff, we are paying for the rate of 2 bedrooms so we are entitled to use only 2 rooms. But yes, I do feel uncomfortable about that locked room. Not thinking of anything supernatural…I was imagining a corpse or you know some murdered stuff being his inside. But my 2 sis felt uneasy.
We changed room next day and everything was okay. -
And once in Beijing, my sis saw a boy sitting on the bed she is sleeping. We shared the same hotel room but I was sleeping soundly. My sis in law who was staying next door dreamt of a kid running in the room the whole night. She only knew of the apparition thing the next day.

I know these entities are everywhere, anywhere and at any time but don’t know why, I am particularly afraid of staying in a hotel. Although I will feel better if my family is with me but then if there is anything, I am always the one having sleepless nights and have to stay through the period. Sometimes it’s quite torturing!

I, indeed experienced something \" weird\" in one of the hotels in Taiwan...
Oh... you folks are giving me the creeps here.
Anyone stayed in the Grand Hyatt in Taipei before?
My regular cab driver asked me how was my stay when I was there last. My response was good. Curious I inquired why he asked since he has never done that before. He told me that the hotel is haunted because it was built on an old cemetery or burial ground. He further explained the reason why there are Chinese inscriptions on two giant pillars in the hotel lobby which I was unaware and tell me stories he heard from foreigners who stayed in that hotel.
cant rmb was it at Taipei as we toured round the whole island of Taiwan .....
This was what i had posted quite sometime ago under another thread \" Taboo stuff\"...Augmum:
